General information


Our Preliminary Türkiye Visa Application Centre in Sri Lanka accepts visa applications strictly in accordance with the requests and standards set by the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in Sri Lanka. The decision on all applications rests solely with the Embassy/Consulate. Our Turkish Visa Application Centre has no decision-making authority and cannot influence the processing time or the outcome of any application.

Since the Türkiye Visa Application process requires biometric enrolment (fingerprint collection), all applicants must be physically present at the Application Centre. However, biometric enrolment is not applicable for applicants under 12 years of age.

Applications must be submitted no more than 90 days prior to the intended travel dates.

All payments, including the visa fees, must be made in cash using Sri Lanka Rupees (RS) during the visa application process at our application centres.

Please Note: Colombo Office accepts applications from all provinces of Sri Lanka. There is no specific regional restriction.


Important Notice


• Our office has no authority or influence over the visa decision. All visa approvals and refusals are determined solely by the Consulate.

• Requesting a multiple-entry visa does not guarantee that it will be granted. The Consulate may issue a single-entry visa at its sole discretion. In such cases, no refunds can be provided for service fees or application fees.

• Do not make final travel plans or purchase flight or hotel tickets until a visa has been issued and your passport has been returned.

• Service fees paid to our Visa Application Center are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of your application.

• Submitting incomplete or incorrect documents may cause delays or refusal.

• Processing times are determined solely by the Consulate. Our office cannot influence or expedite processing times.

• The accuracy and completeness of all submitted documents is the sole responsibility of the applicant.

Required Documentation for Tourist Visa


Please note: Even if you have submitted all the required documents completely, the Embassy / Consulate reserves the right to request additional documents.

1.Passport

  • A valid Passport with 6 months validity on the date of application and it should have at least 2 empty pages, Along with Previous Passports.

  • Lost passports should be declared with police report (as translated in English)

  • Passport biodata page photocopies (2 copy)

2. Biometric Photographs

  • 2 copies ofbiometric photos with white background that were taken within the last 6 months covering the full-face including ears and all hair, clearly and completely visible without shadow, in size 6x5 matte paper.

3.Valid ID and Residency Status

  • National ID card or birth certificate photocopy (ID mandatory).

4.Travel insurance

  • Travel insurance, as per embassy/consulate instructions Türkiye incoming health insurance is mandatory. Your Travel Health Insurance is included within the package service fee and it can be done only by Mosaic Visa.

5. Flight Reservation

  • The flight reservation must be strictly issued in the full legal name of the applicant.It is highly recommended to provide only reservation confirmations, not paid or confirmed tickets, during the visa process.

  • You may request this additional service during your application at our offices.*

6. Accommodation Information

  • Hotel reservation details covering the entire duration of the planned stay in Türkiye must be submitted. The dates must precisely match those on the flight reservation. The hotel reservation must be made in the full name of the applicant.

  • If the applicant has a valid tenancy contract, it may be submitted in place of a hotel booking.

  • You may request hotel reservation additional service during your application at our offices.*

7. Financial Documentation

  • Documents attesting to the income status of the applicant and inviting person

  • Official Letter of Employment/ School/ University with Leave Approval

  • Applicant's signed letter explaining the purpose of visit

  • Confirmation Letter of salary or salary slips for 3 (three) months of the applicant.

  • Supporting document on the applicant's commitment to return (Land registry, business certificate, salary table, bank account statement)

  • Last 6 months bank statements

8.Letter From applicants

  • Covering letter / Request letter / Forwarding letter / Introduction Letter (Yourself).

9.Documentation for Minor Applicants (Under 18 Years)

  • No objection Letter/ Affidavit by the non-accompanying parent/s for children below 18 years. (Attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka)

10.Additional Documents

  • Marriage Certificate and Children’s Birth Certificates for Family Applications

Note: If you have an invitation letter from person(s) in Türkiye, before submitting your invitation to Embassy, make sure that the letter includes the inviting person's TR Identity/Citizenship Number, detailed personal identification, the list of invitees, permanent addresses, contact numbers, length and purpose of stay and inviting person's affinity with the applicant. If the inviting side is an organization or a company, tax registration certificate of the organization will be required, the inviting organization/authority is required to provide assurances for covering food and accommodation expenses. The invitation letters should be attested by notary public in Türkiye. The applicant is required to have sufficient and/or regular remunerations.
